Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is famous for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal swamps fed by the Tarangire River. Covering approximately 2,850 square kilometers, the park is a haven for wildlife during the dry season when animals gather around the river, including lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species. Known for its quieter, less crowded safaris compared to nearby parks, Tarangire offers a more intimate wildlife experience and stunning landscapes, making it a hidden gem among Tanzania’s safari destinations.
